The Corporate Standard Training Webinar
The course provides GHG accounting and reporting principles, business goals and inventory design, organizational and operational boundaries, emissions tracking, and GHG emissions identification and calculation for reporting purposes.
The Greenhouse Gas Protocol’s Corporate Standard Training Webinar is the perfect entry-point for corporate greenhouse gas emissions accounting.
The Corporate Standard Recorded Webinar is strongly recommended to establish familiarity with the GHG emissions standard. Although it is optional, the course is pre-requisite to the Scope 2 Recorded Webinar and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard courses.
The Corporate Standard Recorded Webinar is available at no cost, but it does not come with certificate of completion because it is hosted in another platform, resulting in inability to track learners' completion.

The Scope 2 Recorded Webinar
The Scope 2 Guidance Recorded Webinar is a 4-hour online course on accounting for corporate emissions from purchased energy.
The Scope 2 Guidance standardizes how corporations measure and report emissions from purchased or acquired electricity, steam, heat, and cooling. It includes new requirements that are not covered in the Corporate Standard for accounting for emissions from energy contracts and instruments, such as renewable energy certificates, in greenhouse gas inventories.
This guidance complements the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, the most widely used standard for corporate GHG accounting.
The training covers key reporting requirements and offers practical examples of how to calculate emissions using various contractual instruments across different countries.
To access the course, you must create an account in the GHG Protocol Learning Store.
There are two versions of the course:
- The free version contains the required modules to obtain a certificate of completion; but it does not include a certificate of completion.
- The $30 course is access to a certificate of completion. It is only accessible upon completing the required modules in the free version.
